Mario Aragon, PA-C
Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Mario received his bachelor’s degree in university studies with minors in both Finnish and chemistry from Brigham Young University in Idaho. Following graduation, Mario spent two years working as a paramedic in Colorado Springs before attending the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and obtaining an additional bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies. In 2010, he moved back to Colorado Springs and joined the Alliance team as a Physician Assistant. In addition to his various academic achievements and interests, Mario also spent time studying art while attending college, he enjoys drawing caricatures. He speaks intermediate Spanish and fluent Finnish. Mario believes that taking time to listen to patients is his best tool he can use to help identify and diagnose health issues to assist with healing. Outside of work, Mario also enjoys spending time and going on adventures with his wife and children. He loves going fly fishing any chance he gets.
Christian Birky, PA-C
Kathleen Devanny MD
Dr. Devanny, originally from the youthful city of Flagstaff, Arizona, attended Colorado College, before returning to Arizona and attending medical school at the University of Arizona. Dr. Devanny then completed her pediatric residency at the University of Vermont in Burlington. Since completing her medical training, Dr. Devanny has practiced medicine in both Vermont and Colorado. She is known by staff and patients alike for being patient, kind, and for her humility that instantly captures the hearts of all the children she meets. Outside of medicine, Dr. Devanny stays busy with her family, trail running, hiking, or enjoying the outdoors.
Steve has a extensive background in Emergency and Pediatric Medicine. He graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He worked at Primary Children's in Salt Lake City before moving to Colorado Springs in 2006. He worked in the Emergency department while completing a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado. Steve has practiced Full Scope Medicine with training beyond the Family Practice arena and well into the Urgent Care & Emergency Medicine fields. He is recognized for clinical leadership and well rounded in all walks of life. Steve’s personality and competence will put anyone at ease - whether you are visiting Alliance for a simple check up or urgent issue. Steve enjoys spending time with his family and exercising. He loves to travel and enjoys the beach. He served a mission in the Philippines and speaks Tagalog.
Jessica Erickson, FNP-BC
Jessica grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Nursing from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Jessica served as an Active Duty nurse in the Army Nurse Corps and worked on the Wounded Warrior unit in Bethesda, Maryland and on the Labor and Delivery unit and in the Emergency Department at Ft. Riley, Kansas. She has a heart to help others and chose the medical field because she knew she would be given the opportunity to impact individuals, families, and communities. Jessica loves the daily intellectual challenges and emotional rewards working with patients brings and seeks to provide detail-oriented, individualized care to deliver the best and most beneficial experience to each patient that visits our practice. When she is not serving patients in the community, Jessica enjoys interior decorating, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her daughter, husband, and two dachshunds. Additionally, she is an Officer/Nurse in the United States Army Reserve where she serves at Ft. Carson from time to time.
John Genrich MD
Dr. Genrich is Board Certified Pediatrician with over 45 years of medical experience treating children. He has received a magnitude of awards and honorable mentions throughout his career. In 2004, he was mentioned in the Colorado Springs Business Journal: The Top Doctor in Pediatrics and from 2004 to 2010, he was named in America’s Top Pediatricians. Dr. Genrich received his bachelor’s degree from The John Hopkins University and then attended Hahnemann Medical School in Philadelphia. He completed his pediatric residency at The University of Oklahoma Medical Center. Dr. Genrich has provided medical services to military families at the United States Air Force Academy Hospital, Walter Reed Army Hospital, Bethesda Naval Hospital, and at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, where he assisted Vietnamese refugees. Dr. Genrich has worked in private practice since 1975. When Dr. Genrich is not at work he loves spending time with his family, church, running, and art.
George Gustafson MD
Jeremy Jarecke DO
Dr. Jarecke graduated in the specialties of both Medicine and Pediatrics from Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, which is recognized as one of the leading teaching and research hospitals in the country (U.S. News and World Report’s 2012-13). Only candidates with strong academic record, exceptional interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to work with and for adults and children are accepted. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Jarecke’s philosophy of excellence and compassion in the care of each individual patient are equally important objectives. During his time as a professional Dr. Jarecke has additionally had the privilege of working as a product specialist for Abbott Laboratories. Scientific knowledge, combined with the ability to listen to patients and communicate effectively is key to quality care. Outside of medicine Dr. Jarecke enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
Lindsey Johnson PA-C
Lindsey is a physician assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a Colorado native, having grown up in Denver and later receiving her bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in environmental issues from nearby Colorado College. Lindsey subsequently spent two years as a medical and surgical assistant working in dermatology before attending the Physician Assistant program at the University of Utah where she graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2018. Shortly thereafter, Lindsey returned to Colorado Springs and joined the Alliance team where she has become an integral team member who is passionate about promoting health and wellness across the lifespan and developing long-term relationships with her patients by practicing with care, compassion, and empathy. Outside of medicine, Lindsey enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dog, and is an avid skier, cyclist, mountain biker, and runner.
Jeremy Johnson PA-C
Jeremy Johnson is a certified Physician Assistant. He prioritizes helping patients through preventative care and catching small problems before they become big ones. He enjoys getting to know his patients on a personal level and the dynamic mix of challenges the medical field offers. Jeremy graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Berry College and went on to achieve a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Bethel University (Tennessee).When not working, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and exploring his interest in cars. Jeremy is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Colorado Academy of Physician Assistants
Paras Longanecker, DO
Before pursuing a career in pediatrics, Dr. Longanecker received a Bachelor’s of Science in Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Dallas with a minor in Arts and Performance. She went on to attend medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, followed by pediatric residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. After completing residency in 2013, Dr. Longanecker practiced as a pediatric hospitalist at Texas Tech before returning to outpatient pediatric medicine. She and her family moved to Colorado in 2019.
Sara Olson PA-C
Sara Olson is a physician assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants. Sara Olson graduated with a Bachelors degree in biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2004 and then worked as a clinical research coordinator developing new medications in the area of gastroenterology before going on to PA school. She completed her physician assistant training at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2008. Sara grew up in San Diego, California and relocated to Colorado Springs to join the Alliance team in 2008. Sara's goal is to work as a team with her patients and fellow providers to help prevent disease and treat them with kindness when they become ill. She has a special interest in women's health. Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and hopes to be part of the medical missions with the practice in the future.
Carol Reeder MD
Dr. Reeder is a physician certified by The American Board of Family Medicine. She graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Colorado with a degree in Business. After 12 years of working in the software industry, she chose to pursue her passion for medicine. Dr. Reeder completed medical school at The Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her residency at Swedish Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center in Denver with an excellent community-based focus on full-spectrum family medicine. She enjoys providing compassionate care to the whole family by working together, in partnership with her patients, to achieve their best preventative care, acute care, and disease management. Additional experience includes medical humanitarian service in Quito, Ecuador and Manila, Philippines. Dr. Reeder enjoys spending time with family and friends, and participating in many outdoor activities.
Peggy is a licensed clinical psychologist with a background in Education and teaching. This wonderful combination of psychology and education results in an understanding of how we learn, how we reach a point of wanting and needing a change and how to move in that direction. Peggy taught elementary, and middle school math, in public schools in California and Colorado for 15 years. She has a BA in psychology, and MA in education, are both from the University of California Riverside. She received her doctorate in psychology is from the Colorado School of Professional Psychology. As a psychologist she began working in prisons and did so for nine years. Along with working with clients as a therapist at Alliance she also work at Penrose and St. Francis hospitals in the emergency rooms working with individuals who are in crisis. Her specialties include helping those with anxiety and depression, PTSD and interpersonal issues including relationships.
Lindsey Suhr PA-C
Lindsey is a physician assistant certified by the national commission for certification physician assistants. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences at Colorado State University, Fort Collins. After graduation Lindsey worked as a laboratory manager for embryonic research from 2011 - 2013. She completed her physician assistant training at University of St. Francis in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated with a Masters of Science in physician assistant study. Lindsey was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado and joined the Alliance team in 2018. Lindsey was generally trained in all areas of medicine but enjoys urgent care and women's health. Outside of medicine, Lindsey stays busy with her family, reading and enjoying the outdoors.
