Patient Technician

The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience with direct patient care, to include a broad scope of technical abilities: injections, phlebotomy, EKG, procedure assist, rapid lab testing, hearing testing, etc..

1+ years of clinical experience preferred. 


Sample Shift (10 hour days): 

Monday 8:00am-6:30pm (*off) 

Tuesday 8:00am – 6:30pm 

Wednesday 8:45am – 7:00pm (close) 

Thursday OFF 

Friday 8:00am – 6:30pm 

*Saturday (rotational – every 6 weeks, 8am-3pm. * If work Saturday, then have Monday off) 

 

Summary: Assists in a clinical capacity with clinic preparations and patient documentation to support patient centered care in an ambulatory practice setting as part of a collaborative team. 


Essential Job duties: 

- Carry out clinical tasks as directed by the physician or provider team by taking medical histories, recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during examinations. 

- Accomplish technical procedures as assigned/delegated: ECG’s, minor surgical interventions, administer injections, establishing IV access, collecting specimens, phlebotomy and other lab assignments. 

- Will perform minor administrative duties (patient call backs), and assist with minor upkeep of the clinic: keeping patient rooms clean, stocked, orderly, etc. 

- Requires critical thinking skills and be able to work with minimal supervision. 


Qualifications: EMT- B (+IV or phlebotomy certification), Medical Assisting certificate, military, or related experience + college degree.

Possess strong communication skills (in person or over the phone). Have knowledge of computer systems / accurate typing with moderate speed required (50 wpm). Possess the ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with patients, employees and the public. Can communicate fluidly with patients and staff in English. Is well organized and detail-oriented. Can multi task, complete assigned tasks as indicated under essential job duties, and work as a team 




Case Manager

Alliance Medical Practice is looking to add another Clinical Case Manager to our team. We have expertise in treating the entire family, from Pediatrics to Geriatrics. Acute illness, injury, Primary Pare, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Endocrinology, and Continuing Health Services. We have a solid team that works well together and are committed to attracting exceptional people who possess a rare combination of talent, drive, and intellectual curiosity.


Summary : Assists in an administrative clinical capacity as a health care liaison to ensure that patients receive the care they need.


Essential Job duties: Monitor delivery of care by participating in the completion of document handling, phone triage, identifying progress toward desired care outcomes; intervening to overcome deviations in the plan of care; interact with involved departments to negotiate and expedite scheduling and completion of tests, procedures, and consults; maintain close communication with the providers and discuss care plans. Knowledge of medical conditions, medications, lab panel values, referral coordination, and other health topics one would experience in the Family Practice arena desired.


Qualifications : *1 year* of previous ambulatory care experience required. Prior Case Management experience preferred.


Possess skills of: Verbal communication, health Promotion and Maintenance, persuasion, Patient Services, Building Relationships, Conflict resolution, Coordination, Listening, Scheduling, Teamwork, Legal Compliance.


Education: Possess an active and unrestrictive RN, LPN/LVN, Paramedic licensure, or College Bachelor/Master’s degree (in healthcare or biological studies).
