Founder of our practice, Dr. Carroll's commitment is to maintain 21st Century cutting edge evidenced-based medicine while fostering the empathy that is born of the practice of compassionate Christian care for others. In addition to urgent care medical services, the practice specializes in continuity and comprehensive patient care, handling the full spectrum of acute and chronic medical needs. "We not only treat broken bones, lacerations and common colds, we also manage long term conditions such as obesity, hypertension and diabetes, and strive to diagnose heart disease before a heart attack, vascular disease before a stroke, and cancer before it spreads!".

The clinic has been both locally and nationally recognized for its sound, complete care by multiple trusted authorities including publications including Colorado springs Style "Top Doc", Medical Economics, internet raters such as Health Grades, Vitals, and Rate MD's, Top Family Doctors by the Consumers' Research Council of America, and by multiple local television news programs as a "go-to" clinic for expert medical options on medical issues facing the community.

Dr. Shelton has been practicing as a physician since 2007 with experience in compassionate care of the whole family. Dr. Shelton had residency training in a "Top 100 Teaching Hospital" at Exempla St. Joseph's in Denver. During his time as a physician, to extend beyond the Family Practice exam room, Dr. Shelton acquired multiple procedural skills to include surgical management and trauma skills. Included in his experiences, he has independently run an emergency room as a sole provider to a rural hospital. Equally as impressive, Dr. Shelton acted as Chief of Operations in the United States Air force of Aerospace Medicine and acquired a myriad of awards for exceptional practice of medicine. To vouch for Dr. Shelton's kindhearted side, he collectively has several years of humanitarian service experience. Dr. Shelton believes that listening to his patients is key to quality care. Outside of medicine Dr. Shelton's interests include spending time with his family, marathon running, camping, hiking, hunting, and being a Boy Scout of America Troop Leader.

Steve comes to us with an extensive background in patient care in both Emergency and Pediatric Medicine. With over 10 years of experience, Steve has practiced Full Scope Medicine with training beyond the Family Practice arena and well into the Urgent Care & Emergency Medicine fields. He is recognized for clinical leadership and well rounded in all walks of life. Steve’s personality and competence will put anyone at ease - whether you are visiting Alliance for a simple check up or Urgent issue. Steve is proud to be a part of the Alliance Team and vows to uphold the mission statement and deliver personable cutting edge medical care to all who walk in our doors. We are fortunate to have Steve and look forward to a fruitful and rewarding relationship.

Dr. Carroll received his Bachelor or Science from the University of Scranton, a Doctorate of Medicine from Creighton University, a Cardiology rotation at The Royal Brampton, London, England, and various sub-specialties since completing residency in Family Medicine. Alliance's Urgent Care clinic is backed by Dr. Carroll's wartime experience with the USAF while deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom - thus we are confident in our ability to handle the various medical urgencies that come to our clinic. Dr. Carroll is proud of what Alliance has grown into and promises to keep her true to our mission.
